Asylum Seekers Campaign Group Campaigns Our
Campaign focuses on the issues and difficulties that asylum seekers
have to face in Britain today, created by Home Office policies. We aim
to draw the profession and the public's attention to the cruel reality
of lack of medical and psychological support for asylum seekers in
detention centres in Britain. We also aim to promote psychological and
mental wellbeing for asylum seekers today and tomorrow.
There are Regional Groups in various parts of the UK.
Central London - a group meets regularly and focuses on the current world situation.
Hampshire and West Sussex - our aim is about getting therapeutic ideas out into the community and raising awareness of emotional issues.
Norfolk Group - We are a group of psychotherapists and counsellors in Norfolk who meet on every 2-3 months on a Saturday morning. We meet regularly without any specific agenda but have lively and creative discussions. We range from student counsellors just starting out to counsellors of 30 years experience and new members are always welcome. We publish a Norfolk Directory of Psychotherapists and Counsellors.
